Meet Your Instructor

Jenifer Marks is an attorney, educator, and mother of three who has been licensed to practice law in Washington State since 2008. Over the last 15+ years, she has practiced family law, general civil litigation, and business law, while also working extensively in higher education and online learning. Her professional background has focused on helping people better understand complex systems, legal processes, and real-world problem solving in Family Court.

In addition to her professional experience, Jenifer has personally navigated more than eight years of high-conflict co-parenting and family court proceedings. Through both her legal background and lived experience, she has helped thousands of women better understand custody issues, parenting plans, conflict reduction, and the practical realities of navigating family court.

Jenifer created Parenting Plan 101 to provide parents with clear, accessible guidance on parenting plans and co-parenting dynamics. Her approach focuses on helping parents understand how well-structured parenting plans can create greater clarity, reduce unnecessary conflict, and support healthier long-term co-parenting relationships for the benefit of children.
